IKE is here in Ohio, HOLY COW the wind!

IKE rolled in about 3:40PM today and WOW, the wind we have right now, I can't even imagine what Texas was like.

    It's raining pretty good too.

My sister lives by JKATHERINE and the wind is unreal, damage everywhere. But they only got about 1000 drops of rain.

Did you have much rain, Sheila? We got some, but not a lot. The wind was bad, though.

OMG! Was shopping with Babygirl08 today. We came out of Walmart and the storm was upon us. It wasn't really a rain, but was more like a dirt. Dirt blowing in the little water. Well came home and part of the Big Maple Tree out front was down. Just missed my car! The poor lady that lives down the street wasn't so lucky. Big Tree right across her house! Thank goodness she wasn't home. And I can't believe it but the city crews are down here already.
Sorry DBD. I told my in-laws in Houston we needed some of that rain. But I never dreamed they would send the wind too lol.

I was talking to nightrider earlier when it started in Cincinnati and she kept losing power. It skirted past Memphis last night and we just caught the wind and a bit of rain, but it moved out of the area sooner than expected so now we just have the clouds. I am glad the storm didn't come straight across us. I do feel bad for those in Missouri and Illinois that truly didn't need the rain.
