What do you do if your trade never makes it?

I am in the middle of a trade right now and so far my package as not made it to its destination.(7 days from Fl to IL)1st class. I know this because I have DC, and it was scanned in here before it left but never at the destination point.

Do I just give this person their money back? Its not my fault it never made it, yet it is not her fault either.

No insurance was bought, paypal was not used it was paid for with a giftcard and cash......

    I want to be fair....

    Thanks for any help!

Can your local PO give you more info than the internet, like telling you where it is right now?

Since you have the DC#., I would still wait n' see.
If another week goes by, I'd contact the PO.

I contacted PO...they said it should have been there by now(3days max)
They can tell it scanned out of Tampa and can tell nothing after that!

HONESTLY I'd give it 2 weeks minimum before giving money back.

I sent something to the east coast once & It took 14 days for the person to get it. (actually the person didn't get it but it took 14 days for it to get to its destination)

I didn't send it DC but even with DC the PO won't do anything (in my experience) I even filled out a 'lost package" form once, I was sending to NY and the PO did nothing. Never found the package & I had to ship again.

Just give it some time. In the kids swap, the box took a whole month to get here, no lie. The USPS has lost their minds.

Plus you have to remember with all the bad weather that's been happening, it could've slowed mail down a bit. I would wait a little bit longer.

I sent a birthday card to my cousin in Pennsylvania so it had to go cross country, I sent it 10 days before his birthday and he received it about 3 months after his birthday.

Just curious, which tampa PO did you use? The one in Carrollwood stinks! They are always losing mail. I get other people's mail so often - it's frightening. Once they lost a package (large envelope) sent to me from a client.

I always send ups. They automatically insure for $100. I have been checking the price difference and post office runs pennies less. For a couple pennies it is worth the insurance to me. So glad they found your package.
