Well my daughter thew up all morning long
So I thought I had a bad day until I read your post.
As far as the car accident, I hope she had insurance, because those hospital bills won't be fun when you recieve them.
Deff. get an attorney & shop around, look at a few attorneys before you make your decision. (Unless you're like me & related to one LOL)
Glad to hear you are OK.

I'm glad you weren't hurt worse than you were. You were lucky. You said she admitted that she hit you, well make sure you get the police report and keep ALL paperwork and pictures. My husband's car was hit last November and the guy admitted not seeing it and hitting it. Well to this day, we are still fighting with his vehicles insurance to get them to pay for our vehicle repairs. We are out $3000 on the repairs. We thought it was going to be an easy thing to get taken care of but boy were we wrong. His insurance had the balls to send my husband a bill for fixing the other guys vehicle. Please be careful and make sure you look out for yourself against her insurance. Just because she admitted guilt doesn't mean she hasn't changed her story (which is what happened to us). Best of luck and I hope you heal quickly.

My attorney advised ME to pay my medical bills in an auto accident that was 100% not my fault.
You are always responsible for your own bills. Yes the hospital will be billing her, or her medical insurance company (which will probably decline payment, mine did)
I am out $3K on my accidient.
ETA : I responded before I had a chance to read all the other replies. Here's the kicker, do NOT SIGN ANYTHING THE INSURANCE COMPANY GIVES YOU - you will not get a dime out of them if you do.
My accident was over 11 months ago & I still haven't released my medical yet.
REMEMBER You don't have to even TALK to the insurance company. When I talked to them, I was honest - told them what my injuries were, that I went to the ER, that I took my (then) 13 month old to the ER to make sure she was ok. But I never said I was still hurting, I didn't tell them I continued treatment, etc. You dont' have to. It's not your job to baby them, they won't even be honest with you.
I kept telling them I had an attorney & for months I got calls & letters, tried to get me to tell him who my attorney was or a phone # - You don't have to, let your attorney go to them.
They will try to harass you, this is a very lengthy process, you won't see any money this year, you might not see any this decade.
The good news is once they know you have an attorney you'll never hear from the insurance company again.
It'll be interesting to see what they do offer you, you may want to just listen to them just to "see" what their first offering is.

Oh my goodness! So glad to hear that nothing was broken and there were no internal injuries. Those bruises and cuts look bad, and I hope they heal really fast. Take care.

I just saw this. So sorry you were hurt

BEFORE you call an attorney get her insurance information - call her insurance company and file a claim and they will give you the claim number and info to give to the hospital. The hospital will then bill her insurance and her insurance company will pay the bill. IF you call an attorney first this process will take a couple of years and probably ruin your credit before it gets settled. If you call an attorney the hospital and her insurance carrier cannot talk to you directly.

Sometimes, getting an attorney to wade through the legal mess the insurance companies put you through is best. Even if you don't end up having to sue. I guarantee you the insurance companies have attornies, protect yourself. Shop around for an attorney. Get recommendations and go with who you feel comfortable with. Make sure the attorney you work with signs on a contingency basis, he gets paid when you do. Negotiate with them on their fee. Many want 33-45% of any settlement, most will take 25-28% if they know they will win.
If your insurance company knows that she is insured, they will fight on your behalf to get reimbursed from her insurance company. They do not want to shell out money and they have their attornies too.
Rest up, get better and try not to worry.
