What do you do with yours?
Another thread got me to thinking.........what do you do with your plastic bags? Just remember if you put trash in them and then put them in a larger trash bag.......well that sort of defeats the purpose. I take my all to walmart or send them to the school and they take them. I also use some canvas totes as well and all my cold stuff goes in this freezer bag that I bought about a decade ago (that was the best investment ever paid less than $10 for it at Sams and it really does hold up to 42 lbs)

City just passed an ordinance where we can not longer have the small plastic bags stores use.
The stores must go to paper bags or bring your own systems.
The bags are dangerous for our area: right on the gulf. They were finding too many dead birds, coyotes, etc from choking on the bags.
As well as the bags that just fly around: the get stuck on poles, wires and stuff. They do not bio-degrade either. Paper is bio-degradable.
So we outlawed them.

I reuse the plastic bags to line small trash cans, use them when cleaning the liter box, and will use them around the kitchen when peeling potatoes, melon etc.

I use mine also in the kitchen, then throw them in the trash cans outside for the trash men, and use them in the smaller trash cans.

I also use mine to line my bathroom garbage pals with and to clean out my kitty litter

I too line some trash cans with them, use them in kitchen to keep from making big messes on the counter tops, and use them to put stuff in that we have to take other places--like my moms...books, etc.

I use some of the bags to line small trash cans or to toss my cooking mess, too. The target ones are great to keep in the car since I have a kid who gets carsick often. The ones from the grocery store often have holes in them by the time we get home (or the baggers tie them and we have to rip them open) so they go in the trash. I switched to green bags to avoid the waste.

I use them around the house but on 9/1 the supermarkets around here will stop using them. They had a giveaway last month for every $25 you spent you'd get a big reusable cotton and mesh bag. This went on for a month so I have quite a few.
