Anyone elses dog obsessed with rabbits????
I have 3 huskies and the one is totally obsessed with rabbits. Our neighbor has rabbits living under her deck and she will sit and watch for them for HOURS. Her former owners said that she had gotten a few bunnies when they had her but she just played with them and never hurt them. I was leary of this but last night there was a baby bunny in our yard (cutest little thing). My dog was sitting out on the patio and just watched that bunny for at least 20 mins. The bunny was walking all around our yard. My dog never moved! The next time I looked the bunny was inches from my dog and I thought for sure the bunny was a goner. But all she did was swat it with her paw and then chase it. She could have easily have eaten the thing!!!!!!!! The one other dog could care less about other animals (she is kind of old and aloof) and the other one will chase small animals and I am pretty sure she is out for blood. She wont just sit and watch it. As I type this Ms Obsessive is staring out the front window waiting for the bunnies to walk by. She hasnt left that spot in over an hour.

We don't have dogs but we have a cat that likes rabbits. lol My son had a pet rabbit for many years until it died and she used to love when we let the rabbit out to play.

We have a few rabbits that live out back under the shed, the rabbits will be out there watching us when we take the dogs out. They just sit there watching, but the dogs are barking and pulling trying to get to them.

All three of my poodles chase the rabits that come in the back yard to eat. I can't really tell if they want to eat it or play with it but they will chase them forever if the rabbit will let 'em.
