Question Do you have high cholesterol -if so do you take meds or use natual remedies?

I have been taking Zocor for 3 yrs, taking fish oil pills & trying to keep low-carb(it is hard for me)

High Cholesterol run in my family big time. My sister & I all have it.

    How do you manage yours?

Fish oil capsules everyday before a meal (or you get the fish burps....yuck). My mom's Dr. told her to take them when they found out she had high cholesterol and I started taking them just in case.

People with sedentary lifestyles often have higher cholesterol than those who lead a more active lifestyle.

I mainly manage mine with fish oil capsules, odorless garlic capsules and exercise.

True for most cases. My brother is a police officer and is an avid runner. He eats very well, doesn't drink and has high cholesterol. He is 52 and has had a cholesterol problem for many years. He is lucky to be able to control it without medication but he has to watch everything he eats.

Iam on my feet all day long running back & forth through a kitchen . The dr said mine is more than likely mostly hereditary. Since my Dad died at age 47 from a heart attack/heart disease.
