It's really that easy... And I always have extra people ! One year, on the 4th., our friends said "I have my sisters two boys... can they come ?" To which I said (and totally meant it) "The more the merrier !!" There is always too much food... it's awesome to see everyone having a good time !

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

I always ask what I can bring. I never get turned down either because for some reason, people love my baked beans and deviled eggs.

I will sometimes just show up with dessert but when we go to a grill out, it is among a group of us that have hung out together for years.

I am from "a house with double porches," a room filled with good ghosts and creek laughter in the mornings before first light.

I must be socially inept, my brother is having a bbq and i am taking lots of extra food and extra people.
He doesn't mind at all though, I think the more to celebrate the better.
I made a lime jello with pineapple, marshmallows and cream cheese and cool whip.
Potato salad, A huge cookie tray, calico beans, cucumbers in olive oil and vinegar, and also cucumbers in sour cream sauce. Gee, should i feel bad for inviting these other people? 4 total

Well...with all that you are taking...4 extra people shouldn't be an issue...LOL!

You know there is 'etiquette'...and there is reality sometimes. Obviously, when you are part of a family you know what things you can do outside the boundaries of 'proper behavior' and have it be okay.

However, if you were a first-time guest to someone's home, taking 4 additional uninvited guests would definitely be a major faus pax.

Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

O.K., I just got off the phone with the hostess and she said I should bring ice and to leave my dog at home.

I'm glad I don't hafta worry about this anymore. I can just think about the hamburgers and watermelon.

    That is an excellent idea!
