Tragic accident at air show today
We didn't get to go cause of the weather. We stayed home. I was waiting for Blue Angles to fly over like they did yesterday but they never did. I figured they didn't do it cause of the storms that came through.
I just found out that there was one person killed and 12 others hurt. It was raining really hard and the wind got really strong and flipped over a tent.
As much as I wanted to go I didn't want to take the kids out in that weather. I am glad we didn't go, it could have been us in that tent.

One killed, dozens hurt at Airshow Sunday
A tent collapsed at the Huntsville Airshow, killing one person and hurting at least twelve others.
It happened around 2:00 Sunday afternoon.
According to several witnesses at the Airshow, high winds lifted the tents up and toppled them.
A triage area was set up by Huntsville Firefighters and HEMSI.
Most of the injured victims suffer from fractures and lacerations.

how sad and I saw how much you were looking forward to going. with weather like that I wouldn't have gone either and now someone lost their life and others hurt

I live in Huntsville too!
Hey - I live in Huntsville too! I saw this going across my TV screen all afternoon and it is so sad! What crazy timing! I just really felt for everybody who was there today!

I know, yesterday was such a beautiful day for it. I can't believe something like this happened and a little child was killed. I am glad my kids were not there to witness something like this.
