Do you still have both of your parents?

I have lost both of mine and my husband has lost his. They were like my own after being married so long. My 74 yr old friend still has her 95 yr old father, she lives with him and he is in about as good health as she is.

My dh and I both still have our parents. His dad is 82 and just now starting to slow down. Our moms are both in their early 50's and showing no signs of slowing, and my dad is 61 and has always been a take it easy type of guy but he's more cautious lately because of family health histories.

I feel very lucky that I still have my parents. My father turned 75 this month and my mother is 73. My dad had a heart attack 6 years ago but is doing okay. My mom is in pretty good health and just retired from a full time job a year ago.

I lost my dad in 2004, he had jst retired and was 62 years old. My mom is still alive but has alot of health issues so she just moved in with my older sister. My DH mom is still with us and doing well and he lost his dad 1 year ago after a very long drawn out battle with MS, and being totally bedridden for the last 8 years of his battle. Though we both miss our dads very much we know that they are now in a better place and always watching down over us!!
