There is something that my family used called 'gripe water'. If you have any west indian, hispanic, or even korean stores around you, you should be able to find it.
Sorry, added this before I read all the posts.

it seems like I may be late on this but -going thru a few to see if what I was going to suggest -I saw the fennel seeds(that was one I was going to suggest-along with bay leaf water/tea or anise seed same way (boil steep & cool down )
I'm glad for you that you got a like a great advice-I remember those days too
i am nothing special;of this i am sure. i am a common man with common thoughts; and i have led a common life. there are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but i've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has slways been enough--nicholas sparks

How's the colic doing, Michelle?
Is he sleeping better now with little fussing

my oldest dd had this and I would not wish this on my worst enemy......I would take her legs and gently push them up to her belly and it helps them pass the gas out...lot of puttering...lol...peppermint works on the belly too.....you can desolve a mint in the water and let them drink it or a little oil ...little bit .......now as for the kero syrup...in the old days they used one...cant remember which it was dark or karo but they would give it for diarrhea...one would loose the bowels and the other would dry them up so be carefully with those...mil cant remember which they used.....
good luck and pray that the little one gets over this fast and you dont loose your sanity.I know it is awful.

My second son had this, I went through sweepers they work anything that produces "white noise" will work, the ped. also put him on a prescription med because the gas drops did not work i don't remember the name but it was a bright green. Do not give Honey! and I had to use a certain formula it was either Alimentum or Nutramigen it helped also but it can be a little expensive.
this site might help

Nothing worked for mine except for putting him on a lactose free formula, prescription med. and the trusty sweeper, it was horrible I used drops, patted his belly, rocked him, laid him on my lap belly down to try to relieve the discomfort. I really feel for you and your little guy colic is horrible.
