i used white karo syrup or honey-i would put a teaspoon in a couple of bottles a day-also rubbing the babys belly very gently will loosen up the gas bubbles.

the karo corn syrup works wonders.. My mom told me about when my boys were babies, so it is one old wives tale that does truly work..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't give your baby Corn syrup or honey. I don't post here hardly at all anymore, but this time, I have to say this. These are 2 lead culprits of botulism in infants. The pediatricians have even come out and said no honey until a child is at LEAST 2 YEARS OLD. If you'd like a medical site: http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/inf.../botulism.html

I would try warm Peppermint tea. Its great for upset stomachs and can be sweetened with a tad bit of sugar and diluted. I used this with my daughter and it helps a LOT. Also lay your son on his left side when its the worst. Gravity and the digestive system are odd bed partners and this actually helps the intestines, etc. move better. I still do this myself if I feel sick.

I seem to remember reading someplace about running a vaccum cleaner helps. I don't know how it can but it was something about the noise that helped. Also, many years ago when my son was a baby, his formula consisted of corn syrup, canned milk and water, and I had not problems what so ever. I do remember reading that honey was a NO NO.

NO HONEY!!!! Have *always* heard that it was bad for babies. Don't know about the corn syrup. Heck, I don't know nothin' about babies (no children of my own), but *definitely* remember reading about the 'no honey' rule.

OMG, I'm having flashbacks! My son screamed every night from 5PM to 6AM; that's right, 13 hours! For 3 months! Aaaaaagh!

After trying everything listed above, we finally found that an ounce of brandy helped . . . . inside each parent! Honestly, I never drank until my son had colic, but it was the only way to keep sane!

Be sure you get as much sleep whenever you can, or else you can get psychotic; seriously! Get all the help you can, and don't feel bad about it. I swear, if I'd had my son when I was younger, I don't know how I could have handled it. I was already paging thru the phone book, looking for foundling homes. If you've never been thru it, you have no idea! Hopefully, your baby's won't be as extreme. I still shudder whenever I hear a tiny baby cry.

It's been 16 years since I had to deal with colic but I used the milacon drops. I also used the bottles where you replaced the liners and pushed the air out of them. I would feed him only a couple of ounces then I would burp him. With the drops, bottles with the liners and only giving him a couple of ounces of formula at a time made it bearable for me. Hopefully with all the suggestions in this thread something will work for you and Brayden. Best of luck!!!
