Well, I did manage to go back to sleep for a couple hours. I am throwing a stew in the crock pot, taking care of some errands, then hopefully taking a nap before the kids get home. The rest of the kids are mad that I didn't make them brownies, as well I promised to make some for the family.
t, PM me your address, I'll send you some brownies, they are to die for, and really easy.

Awe a really good mom! I remember doing it for my kids. I guess in certain places times have changed. My daughter has to send packaged store bought stuff to school with her kids. They won't accept homemade. Sad to think about it. Possibly something happened.

mirage, when we were in a larger school district they had to have only store bought snacks. Once we moved out in the boonies it was OK to make stuff. Last year Taylor had one turn a month to bring snacks and they discouraged store bought unless it was fruit. Its a faming community, maybe that makes a difference.
ilovecats, you have to understand my train of thought. Here I am, baking brownies at 1:30 in the morning (I honestly think it was a bribe for a C so she could have internet in her room again ) and the nursery rhyme Little Jack Horner popped into my head.
