They didn't give us an option of a waterproof one. I didn't even know they had those. How cool.
My youngest hasnt broken anything......Yet. But she is only 6.
Hope she gets to feeling better soon. Hopefully she will heal fast and be out of those darn casts.
I asked about waterproof casts .. if they were available. It depends on how severe the break/fracture is if they'll give you one. When she goes back in 2 weeks for the follow up xray, that will decide if she can do the waterproof casts, which I am crossing my fingers she can.

I hear you .. Saturday I waited on a family and they had a baby, maybe a year old and she had a cast on her leg .. it was so sad. But the baby was fine .. basically had a care in the world .. lol.
Em's is getting around a bit better today .. she actually just opened the fridge by herself .. lol .. but she can't grab a yogurt out of there! She has been on the computer this morning too so she's coming around.

She'll get the hang of somethings but will still need help with others. Children are so determined to find a way to do things. I hope she is able to get the waterproof casts so she can go swimming.
Tell her I love the colors she choose. They are cool.

She is starting to get the hang of things .. she's been on the computer all morning .. I had to boot her off .. lol. But I think it's good for her to get used to using her fingers. She is supposed to go camping with Girl Scouts this coming up weekend and I'd like her to go, so we have to work on her being a little self efficient .. lol.

Oh gosh! Poor thing! I hope she heals quickly. My 7 yo dd just got her cast off Friday. Monkey bars at school were the culprit. Broken her elbow and wrist. Dangerous playgrounds I guess, lol. Hopefully your dd will get to pick out a fabulous cast that she can have all her friends sign. My dd chose hot pink. :-) Big hugs to mom and baby girl.
ETA: I didnt realize I hadnt read the entire thread. *foot in mouth*
Glad she is getting around pretty good now. Maybe she will be able to "reach the yogurt" soon! lol
