I hope Nicholas heals quickly too .. hugs and kisses to him. Emily wants to call, but she can't hold the phone .. lol.

They casted both of her arms .. the right one has a full cast and the left a half cast. The left IF broken is by the growth plate (it's real hard to tell with that arm), so they casted it to be on the safe side. He said they aren't too bad though and he wants her back in 2 weeks to re-xray her arms. If she is healing well, they are going to half cast both of them with water-proof casts so at least she'll be able to swim .. lol.

Good news for her though is she is out of gym for the rest of the year and has slaves (us) to write her homework! .. Thank God school is over June 4th .. lol.

Glad to hear she will be ok..and at least she will be able to swim!! Still not fun though. Not too much longer until school is out, tell her to hang in there. My neice broke her arm last summer..she is the same age, she fell off the monkey bars. She had the waterproof cast also. I don't think they made those when we were younger. I hope she heals fast and she feels better soon!

oh the memories that brings back...my daughter even had slaves at school lol, they had to provide her with someone to write out her homework or take notes for her and even someone to walk with her to go outside (they have an elevator in the school and since both arms were in casts, they decided that her balance might be off (ya think? lol) so she had to take the elevator but in case she fell and couldn't get back up, they had someone go everywhere with her). Thank goodness kids adapt easily lol...will be hoping for good news in 2 weeks and that you maintain your sanity

Here's a couple of pics of Emily:

That is her "fake" smile by the way!

Hope she heals fast. I cannot imagine having both arms in casts.

my middle child broke his elbow not long after we moved down here from NY, jumping on the bed lol Learned a lesson there. Then last sept my oldest was climbing the fence, fell and broke his wrist. Had to have a half cast.

They didn't give us an option of a waterproof one. I didn't even know they had those. How cool.

My youngest hasnt broken anything......Yet. But she is only 6.

Hope she gets to feeling better soon. Hopefully she will heal fast and be out of those darn casts.

Poor thing, hope she heals fast. I do understand since my son broke both his arms at the same time. Nothing like a 16 yr old boy having to have his mommy bathe him....LOL.
