    I dont think you are overprotective at all. I was the same way about my children and my grandchildren when they are with me.
    There are some parents that dont want to be bothered with taking care of the children and will take advantage of other neighbors if they allow it.

    My oldest went to the nashville zoo today, we live 2 hours to the south. I was considering keeping him home cause I can't stand the idea of him being that far from home with me or dh with him.

    I don't let the kids outside alone. To many strange people out there.

    You are not overprotective at all, you are a good parent and there needs to be more out there.
