I use the back button instead of the ignore button. As for the avatars - if you use Firefox you can get a program called AdBlock Plus. With that program you can block the avatars, signatures, pop-ups and advertising stuff you don't want to see. I do block some avatars that I personally don't like - and then I don't have to block that person just what I don't want to see - and no one is the wiser.

I don't have anything blocked, I might miss something if I do but that's weird though

i took the time to reread everyones post and as I read I felt that I should unblock each persons name. Tomorrow I may feel the need to block again. But perhaps I should give everyone a chance to not be mean. Maybe they have changed and how would I know if I don't unblock them.

I've used the block button. It's been years ago when we had a really bad problem with . They never became unblocked when I was on here after I did it.

Wow ,that's a lot of people to have blocked. If i don't want to read what a person has to say ,just hit the back button or scroll on past their post. Not a big deal.

I've learned to block out things in my mind so don't need a button. KWIM

It's really bad with commercials. I can't tell you what commercials I have seen since when they come on I don't pay any attention to them. Then when I take a survey I can't answer what commercials I have seen lately.

Guess it also comes from living with a chronic complainer. Loved my mother to pieces but she complained a lot. I just tuned it out. Only way to have some piece. So see, it could be worse, those people could live with you. LOL

Some people deal with life by complaining. It helps them but one needs to tune them out at times. No buttons either just the one in my mind. We all have an internal censor button. Thank God.

I've only blocked someone once that I can recall. And that was just because she was posting allot of news articles in a thread I was trying to read. I didn't want to have to scroll past all the articles. But I like her, I'm just to lazy to scroll through allot of articles I guess. Oh and I did put someone in there once for attacking everyone. I got tired of seeing her attack in every thread, just for the sake of attacking others. But even she isn't in ignore anymore. Although I do ignore her comments allot. I feel like something in her life must be pretty bad for her to be so angry all the time.
The way I see it, you can like everyone without believing how they believe or even liking how they act. If that makes since. As long as I'm not being forced to act like them it's ok with me. And there are whole threads that I stay clear of just because I don't like the topic.
