    Yourself cloned?

If you could have yourself cloned for your child, would you want it?
For me no, I have too many problems that I think have a lot to do with heredity that I wouldn't want me cloned.
I know people I would want cloned for a child.

This thought was because of reading the other thread on cloning, the one with the picture of the child.

I think I would like to have me cloned. Not becasue I am so proud of me but

When I was a child I beaten and hit with fists, I was so abused I am surpised I made it to where I am today. I wonder sometimes what I would be like if I had been nurtured, hugged and kissed and supported. If just one person had said "I love you" or I'm proud of you" what would I be like today.

I would like to take a little me and give to "me" what I never had and I would like to give to me a little bit of the love I have given freely to my own children and grandchildren.

I know exactly what you mean. I wasnt physically abused but had a lot of bad mental crap from my mom. I dont ever want kids but to be able to do that for myself would make me feel like I had righted some wrongs!

If you haven't already, you should read the book "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay...she was also severely abused as a child, and the book she writes (that one among many others) is absolutely amazing--and I might add, it's wonderful for *everyone* (for the benefit of others reading this), not just those that were abused, but will immensely improve the lives of anyone, no matter where you are in your life right now.

I would love to read the book, but I have more peace and contentment than I hae ever had since I became a Christian. I used to have horrible nightmares from the time I was young until I became a Christian. ince then i have not had one nightmare.

I do feel I am one of the lucky ones, I did not visit the abuse on my children and so many abused children grow up to be abusers.

I think I will visit my library and see if they have that book.

    Thank you
