Anybody here have a sleep number bed?

We are getting one on Sunday. Our neighbor bought one but doesnt like it and offered it to us. We said "Yeah" of course. Just wondering if anybody here had one and if they like it.

We were going between a sleep number and a memory foam. We have some friends that talked us out of the sleep number because they didn't like theirs. Their biggest complaint is that there are two seperate "air chambers" so if you want to get "close" it's hard because of the split down the middle. He said it's good if both people can stay on their own side of the bed, but if not then it's not too fun.

Hubby may have a problem with it then. I knew they were in two pieces but didnt realize that it was that noticable I guess is what I mean. LOL
Our 2 year old sleeps with us so it might not be so bad. I dont know we'll see. I might find out real quick why they dont like it. LOL

I would guess that if your numbers aren't too different that it wouldn't be that noticable, but if you like it rock hard and he likes it extra squishy then it would be very noticable, obviously.

I have had one for a while, there is alot of inconsistency with the air distribution depending on what or who is on the bed, air resistance changes. I find I have to change my number often. a friend of mine bought a memory foam pad to put over the mattress and says it helps with the split in the middle. I plan to get a regular mattress set soon.

Someone I work with just yesterday said she sampled a sleep number at the store and she says she loved it. I know they are very expensive, but I am happy with my regular mattress .. lol.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

We Love our sleep number bed, we have had it close to 5 yrs now, and I do have to agree with everyone else, you are able to notice the thingy down the middle, most likely because I am a 45 and hubby is a 70 so it is like his side is up higher than mine so that does kind of bug me, other than that they are nice, I have a hard time sleeping on a reg. mattress when we go out of town, makes coming home so much sweeter. congrats on your new mattress, I really think you will like it after you get your number figured out, one thing to remember is that they told us not to go up or down more than 5 numbers at a time.
    Good Luck

Hubby and I have had one for about 3 years and we love it. It took a bit of adjusting and readjusting our numbers to sleep comfortably. But I can honestly say we do get better sleep. Both if us are snuggle hounds and we have had no problems with the middle, but our numbers are close. He is a 75 and I am a 70.
A dog is not almost human , I know of no greater insult to a canine than to describe it as such.
