I got a Pug in Feburary, he's four months old now. He doesn't smell at all. He's a tan one, cute as hell and LOVEABLE!he loves to play. They are great with kids and love people. He snores and snorts,LMAO, no breathing problems. The parents were on site and they pulled the history up for us and showed the vet info.
Like Tracy said, it's the people food that makes them fluffy.

don't buy from a back yard breeder, a puppy mill OR a pet store. Look at adopting one through a shelter or finding a reputable breeder in your area. (also craigslist or
www.petfinder.com or
www.petharbor.com) and once you have it, love love love

I'm sure that won't be hard.

yeah thats what I am hoping for.......here is a stupid question what is a puppy mill? sounds like maybe we I am seeing everywhere.......they have tons of breeder dogs and put out lots and lots of puppies.

oh thanx I love hearing from you all that have them already.
Ok guys here's another stupid question what are the odds of finding a breeder that breeds only one type of dog or do most of them have like Pug, poodles and everything in between??? I see ads in the papers and they have like so many types I sort of would like to find someone that just has one type and knows almost everything there is to know about the breed

Princess, yep that's pretty much a puppy mill, they continually breed a female through every cycle which is bad and they are in tiny little cages usually, they owners basically treat them as live stock. They do NO testing to see if the dog will have any genetic issues, they don't see vets, they just don't properly care for the precious little babies.
And depending, the puppies that come from them could have a lot of health issues. Probably 99% of pet stores get their dogs from puppy mills b/c no reputable breeder would ever sell their dogs to them.

If you don't want dumb answers, don't ask dumb questions

I just got a mini-schnauzzie. She is just the cutest little thing, 10-12 pounds max.
The oil is all in Texas, but the dipsticks are in D.C.

I didn't read all the post here, so you might have already mentioned this. But I just wanted to remind you about the Pet Parade. I listened to it yesterday and someone had a yorkie with papers for $200, but hubby wouldn't let me get it. LOL
I figure you listen to that since you go to their website for news and such.

I have a 7 year old black pug and a 4 month old beige pug. They are precious. They cock their heads side to side a lot . It's too cute. They both are very attached to us. They love to be in our laps and loved. Yes, they have gas, but so does my bassett. The older one does have bad breath, but I feel any dog could have bad breath. They are the most loveable and adorable dog.

princess Arky,
I have a pug, just love her to death we also have a staffordshire terrior and they are the best buddies. We call her Snorts for short her name is Isabel
but she snorts so much my husband gave her a nickname they are loving and are the greatest dogs for kids they love to cuddle and be loved, when they sleep they do not snort very much and sometimes not at all, ours sleeps and we don'[t even hear her. she had surgery done on her nasal but it didn't help alot but it does help, as they don't have the nose of normal dogs theirs are punched in. They are cute and you will love it.
