I clean everyday too. Kevin has asthma and allergies so I try to keep everything dusted. We have hardwood floors throughout the house except for in the kitchen and bathroom. We have an area rug under the coffee table, one in the computer room and one underneath the dining room table and chairs so it doesn't take long to vacuum. The bathroom gets cleaned everday except for the tub and shower. I do that once a week.

    Exclamation

    Cleaning.... LOL I wish I had a schedule! But I don't.

Its funny because I love to have a clean and organized home. I cannot stand clutter and dirt... BUT because of my mental illnesses and chronic pain its hard for me to get things done, the two battle each other a lot. When the kids make huge messes I get panicked becuase its a mess but at the same time if I don't stay calm I will get overwhelmed and overreact... So I always try and remain calm and clean it fast LOL

But I do clean everyday! Dishes get done at least twice, usually three times a day, I have a wonderful friend that comes and does my laundry once a week. I do have to do it more than that but she comes and does like 10 loads! She folds em and all I have to do is put them away! I love it!

Also the bathroom gets cleaned everyday, vacuuming gets done everyday, mopping and all that... One thing I don't get done a lot is dusting. I am terrible about it! Lol I want one of those duster thingies, I know my swiffer helps motivate me to sweep and mop everyday! I love it... so I bet I would love the duster also...

The thing is, if you keep an organized and tidy house, you don't have to clean alot. I just pick up here and there. If I'm going into the kitchen for a drink and someone left a plate in the living room...I take it with me rather than leave it sit there all day. Never leave the room empty handed. Great grandma told me that one too. Pitch mail (junk) as soon as you bring it in...dont let it pile up on your table. Clean up the dishes every nite, don't let them pile up. I will not go to bed until my living room and kitchen are tidied. It takes 2 mins and I don't have to wake up to a disaster zone. If someone pulls up into my drive, I usually don't have to do more than pick a few of the babies toys up off the floor, straighten the couch cushions, (I'll never buy a pillow back couch again!), maybe pick up a tuft of the dog's hair off of the carpet and push the on button on the Scentstories player.
    Got a Scion? PM me!

I try to do that, but when I leave or sit down to do anything someone somewhere makes a mess...

It would be ok if I was here and picking up every minute of everyday! LOL

Honestly, with just the 3 of us, there isn't much to clean. I'm here during the day by myself and don't usually make messes and if I do make one, I clean it up as soon as I finish whatever it is, lol! My DD is pretty good about picking up after herself and putting her things away, so is DH.

Shoot I wish mine were good about picking up after themselves... and with a day care you can imagine with 16 or so kids in and out during the week its a challenge to keep things clean for sure!

I don't even consider picking up stuff cleaning really. If it's not where it's supposed to be and I go by, I'll pick it and take it where it needs to go.

With my DD, she learned early to keep her stuff picked up. If I have to pick it up, it goes in the hall closet to stay awhile! With all her Bratz and Polly pocket stuff, I make her pick up one thing before she's a allowed to get anything else out. So she knows she can't play with Bratz until all the Polly Pocket stuff is put away.

collect laundry hampers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. If the hamper is empty, and clothes are by it: TOUGH. I only wash what is in the hamper.

Bathrooms are cleaned 3 times a week: wiped down daily.
    Kitchen EVERYDAY
    Vacuum: as much as needed.
    Sweep: daily
Mop: at least 3 times a week.
    Ironing: 2 times a week

But, I do nlot do it only. I work full-time, husband works full-time: so it is evenly split.
