You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says,"My God, you're right! I never would have thought of that." Dave Barry

I regift, but rarely. Mostly I sell the items if they are worth anything. Like last year, everything my in-laws got me were nice things, but nothing I liked. I was able to get close to their worth to spend on things I WOULD use. They'll never know either.

I don't get many gifts either, my dad always sends gift cards, my mom, well she is like my twin and anything she sends is PERFECT! My husband almost always gets me something practical that we all benefit from like a electric griddle or a stereo or something like that, which is awesome. I would like to get jewelry, but I don't really have to have it or think I would wear it, but maybe I would if I had any I dunno! LOL I know its cliché but I honestly like to give more than receive for myself.

My sis gave me a laptop desk many years ago. I never used it and even tried to sell it at a garage sale. Then when I got a laptop computer it was perfect to use with it. Now I use it all the time so you never know.

If you get an item you can't use try to think of a different way to use it. Like jewelry can be used to decorate something in your house like a vase of silk flowers. Put the bracelet or necklace on it and drape it off the side.

Some things ya just have to live with though. My hubby likes some perfume that I think stinks but I do wear it around him. AND all the perfume from Victoria Secret smells like alcohol to me. They charge so much for their perfumes but then I don't want to buy it anyway. Try mixing it with some other perfume to use it up.

I don't usually get much either, but what I do get I usually keep just because it came from their heart.

My godmother came over and surprised me once with a crochet blanket. Didn't match either but I used it. I really appreciated her making it! I wouldn't regift out of fear the person wouldn't like it and ask for the receipt.

i get very few gifts, usuallyy from people on the forums. lol, so they all know what i like, lol we've posted about our favorite scents and things dozens of times, lol but if for some reason i don't like a scented soap or something, i'll don't think I will use, I know company loves it. I wont' re-gift it, but i'll sure let them use it at my house, lol. that way they think I THINK THEY ARE SPECIAL, lmao
