women only!!!! need answers
ok my 12 year old daughter has finally "become a woman" as of today but my question is she went to bed and got up and ran to the bathroom throwing up. has anyone else had this when they first started their period? Ive never had this before and dont know anyone else that has. Im thinking maybe its her nerves but she says shes not nervous. also my first time the bleeding wasnt a reddish color but a brownish discharge. (not to be gross) . any help would be appreciated

I remember when I 1st got mine and I never got sick, but hormones do weird things. After 2 kids I now feel sick every month just before my "friend" comes. why I have no clue. Could be too much estrogen or not enough. Her body will adjust, I would check with a doctor just to be sure, can't hurt! Hope she feels better and all is good!

I did. I threw up every month until I had my first kid. My daughter did too so I put her on the pill to straighten them out when she was 16. She hasn't thrown up since from her period. I do think it came from us having such bad cramping and hormones too. Sorry it has been so long ago I can't remember about the color. Good luck. I am sure she will be fine.

I never got sick with mine and it was the normal color. It could just be her nerves. Maybe she is more nervous than she is letting on. I would still take her to the doctor. This brings back memories!

I don't remember when I first started, but there has been times when I've gotten sick right when I started. It hasn't happened for a few years, but oddly enough both times I had ate mac and cheese that day
I hope she feels better soon.

I don't recall ever being sick at that time of the month. I have the normal symptoms and all but never vomiting that I recall.

I remember feeling real yucky the first 2 or 3 periods I had. My first one was brownish, and I think it was something like 4 or 5 months till my next one.

Used to be that my first "day" I would be sicker than a dog with cramps and throwing up all day. If it fell on a school day you could gaurantee that I wasn't going. I would be in day all day.
