I did it and used Chantix, NOTHING is a MAGIC CURE, but stick with it..I am taking the money I saved to Vegas..I will NEVER smoke again.
No more stinky clothes, no more HAVING to go out and get smokes for the day/night..no more wheezing or coughing when I work out.
I did gas from Chantix, though, for awhile.
I did gain 10 pounds, but I have 5 off so I am ok with it..

Congrats and best of luck to you. You'll find out how nice it is no longer being a slave to cigarette's.
I quit cold turkey in January and refused to gain weight because I quit smoking .. you have to keep yourself occupied. I did join Weight Watchers in April (didn't gain from not smoking, but wanted to lose anyway) and so far am down 26+ lbs. You can do it. If you do gain because you quit, take the $$$ you would have spent on smokes and join Weight Watchers .. lol.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

No MORE BAD BREATH!!!
No more mouth tasting like crap!
No more going into a trance when shopping because your having a nicotine fit!
No more having to try and find somewhere you can smoke when you are at a hospital.
No more trying to keep up with lighters.
No more loose tobacco in the bottom of your purse.
No more having non-smokers saying something to your kids about something of theirs stinking because of cig. smoke.
(don't matter how clean you are, non-smokers can still smell it on your stuff)
Also something you get to look forward to is not getting those weird little wrinkles all around your mouth from puckering your lips around cigs all your life. Old women that smoke always have those.
