I don't think anyone should "swear" on anyone dead or alive. It doesn't make anyone tell the truth. You can swear on a stack of bibles and you aren't going to get struck by lightening.

If he ended up swearing and lied, I wouldn't trust my DH. But w/ me you lie and your done. I don't trust easy to begin with and if you screw w/ that boom. I never believe you again.

Whatever is going on sounds serious. Make him swear on his life. Then find a way to back up what he is swearing to with facts. Facts that do not come from him.

You can swear all you want and on all you want, but if your lying it doesn't matter .. your still lying and nothing will happen. Morally your a liar and will be known as so when you get caught, but you wont get struck down or anything like that .. lol.

Do you know what drives me insane is when people swear on their kids lives. That is the stupidest saying to me. I don't care if your telling the truth or not, why would anyone ever swear on their kids lives? To me it just sounds ignorant.

I know it's just a saying, but why jinx yourself on something so important as your children?!
