    Want a good laugh? picture this!

    I wear a c pap at night to sleep. My husband just found out he has sleep apnea too and he is going to be wearing a c pap too. Just picture us both in bed at night. LOL

    I want one ! Question; did you HAVE to go through the sleep lab to get it ? 'Cause here it seems that's the only way to get one !

    Everyone in my family snores...it has something to do with how our throats were 'made'... our mouths are too small inside (we had to have two teeth removed from the top and bottom so our teeth would fit, and, all our wisdom teeth cut out as well)... my sis even went to the trouble and pain of a throat surgery, they cut away some of the 'upper palate', is was a horrible surgery... and, it didn't help her snoring a bit !

    Last question... do they really work ?

    What is a c pap and what does it look like? Does it really help with snoring? I'm so loud my husband sleeps in another room.

    How did you get yours ? Did you have to go through a sleep lab ?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hmmm, the c pap is an ' apparatus ' that you wear over your mouth/nose while you sleep that keeps forced air pumped into you...lol. The idea is to keep your airways open... and thereby helping snoring, sleep apnea etc... which gives you a WAY better nights sleep.
    I don't understand how it works. Does it have a mask to attach to it? Do you wear it when you sleep? Once you go to the sleep disorder clinic will insurance cover the cost of the machine? TIA for all the answers Just saw this so it answers some of my questions.Hmmm, the c pap is an ' apparatus ' that you wear over your mouth/nose while you sleep that keeps forced air pumped into you...lol.
