Update on the kittens that I found

I don't know if you guys remember - 2 weeks ago we found those kittens and then last week we ended up taking the "runt" to the 24 hour emergency vet care 45 minutes away from my house - well he did good for a couple of days - took him to the vet yesterday - he died in my husbands arms last night around 7:30 - guess it was meant to be - I'm still crying today -we buried him last night along with his little blanket and his teddy bear that I bought for him and we made his headstone this morning -
the others are doing good - they will be going to their new homes this week but we are still keeping the calico one that my daughter named Cali.

Wish you lived near me, we have been looking for one for my DD but I refuse to pay the crazy pet shop prices.

Some of the shelters are even more expensive than pet shops. It's ridiculous. In our area it costs over $200 to adopt a cat from the shelter. It's $200 just to adopt but then you have to have it spayed or neutered. You would think that would be included in the $200 but it's not.

I'm sorry that the kitten died teenies*mom. That's sad.

I'm glad you were able to find homes for the others.

I am sorry that the little guy didn't make it.

At least you know that you did everything that you could for him. That's nice that you are getting to keep one. Kittens are so cute and sweet.

no one would help me - not even the SCPA - the Human Society - the local shelters - not one place could take the kittens - they all told me that its breeding season and the shelters and "foster" homes are filled to the max - so I paid for everything - which I don't care - the first vet visit was $209.00 - the vet visit yesterday was $60...then with all the food, kitten milk, kitten bottles, and everything else - but I don't care about that - its just sad that the shelters couldn't help me - I'm glad I was able to place the other kittens in good homes -

heres a pic of the little guy that didn't make it - first we called him "Runt" but then we changed his name to Gizmo cuz he looked like Gizmo from the movie "Gremlins" -
and now I'm crying agian........

here is a pic of the one we are keeping - her name is Cali....

here is the second one my dd's best friend is taking - his name is Houdini - thats what they named him for some reason....

I didn't get a picture of the fourth one yet....will try later.
