Is there a big difference in diapers?

I am kind of new to the diaper thing (I mean its been over 20 years!!) and I wondered about diapers. I have been buying cheap like Wal Mart or Safeways brand of diapers, are Huggies, Pampers etc that much better to pay that much more money? I mean I know they are probably a bit thicker but they are almost double the price.

Tell me what you use and why. Oh and I was amazed at how cheap wipes are! I can buy those huge tubs of Huggies ones for like 2.49 at Wal Mart...that was a nice surprise.

they make alot of fancy ones now, but Luv's were the only ones that my boys could wake up and their bed be dry . with each boy i tried differernt brands and always went back to Luvs

I don't like huggies, I could never tell when littleman was wet, they always sagged anyway. Luv's worked, the only reason we got pampers was cause you could tell when he was wet quicker, his momma hated the thougt of him sitting there in a wet diaper. I agreed

I like huggies for NEWBORN only, otherwise, they all leaked for me. Every size, didnt matter. I only used the Walmart brand (the yellow package with the ducks or something, not whitecloud, those were terrible in my opinion) but personally I never found Huggies or Pampers or those worth the price!

Well, it's been over 5 years ago, but I used Pampers most of the time. Luv's were good too, but I really liked the fit better with Pampers and they didn't leak around the legs etc. I would buy the biggest pkgs to save a little and always tried to use coupons.

Huggies were the ones I liked the best. LOL My youngest is 13 so it's been a long time since I've used them.

Me too! lol I couldn't use Pampers on my kids though, they broke them out every time! Luvs would leak on us. White Clouds were ok too. Huggies just seemed to work best for us though.

You could get samples of them all and try them out, then tell all of us which ones you prefer, then we could all sign up at the site, get the coupons and send them

I have not had a diaper leak on me with him yet and I am using the duckie ones from Wal Mart for 6.99 versus like 14 bucks for the others! He is not drinking as much as littler ones so maybe I have been lucky...he eats good and oh my goodness I had to beg my husband to hold his hands last night because he always wants to grab himself and he was a MESS! LOL

MY husband never had kids of his own but raised all mine and is great with these little ones but NOT with diapers..he literally gags..lol
