just soap and water here and when that stops working I toss them since I always get them for a $1 lol

Seems like we called the ones made out of leather thongs if they went between your toes. And the rubber/plastic ones we called flip flops.

I call them sandals and my daughter always gets huffy with me and says, "They are flip flops...not sandals!" LOL I usually just throw them in the washer or pitch them. They aren't very expensive these days anyway.

I have Birkenstock sandals and the only thing I don't like about them is the part where your foot sits turns black. It makes them look like they are dirty but it's not from dirt. They do that because they mold to your feet. It's a natural process.

I have one pair that are white and I toss them in the bleach load. When they too bad, I'll just toss em...they were only 4 or 5 bucks.

my sister uses baby wipes to clean hers.................and yes to me they have always been "flip flops"

When mine get dirty I just toss them and get a new pair .. I only paid $1.49 for them on sale at CVS.
Oh and Aussie brought this up to me tonite .. we used to call em "tongs" not "thongs" .. lol.They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

I have no idea why they make white bottoms for kids...grrrrrr...they wont stay white for long..lol..I try to look for the brown soles for the girls...and yes I remember thongs...lol....but I call them flip flops because thongs to me are undies...lol.

My mom still calls them thongs. She made a comment one day on how she wish's she could wear thongs like the rest of us and my nieces eyes got really big and she said grandma you want to wear thongs? My sister and i giggled and i held my foot up and said she means flip flops lol.
