    Help, need camcorder advice!

I've never owned a camcorder and don't know anything about them. My DD will be graduating from high school next month and I'd really like to buy one. Our auditorium has bad lighting and every picture I've ever tried to take there with my digital camera has come out too dark to see anything.

I need a moderately priced camcorder with good low light capabilities. I've heard the Sony Handycam DCR PC350 is good, but I can't find anyone who sells it besides Circuit City, and frankly, I don't care for their service.

    Any suggestions?

It looks like your in the right direction with this camera. I did some searches and couldnt find it available either so dont know what the price is or the price youre looking at.

I would go for the mini-DV tape type and not the disk type. If you can afford a 3CCD lens you will not be disapointed. 3CCD is what they use in pro tv cameras and the color is just amazing. I bought a JVC two years ago for about $600. I am sure that prices have come down.

Do a search for 3ccd camcorders and start comparing.

    good luck in your search.
