My father has vast amount of ball cards and he wants me to try to see what they are selling for,I went to ebay but what a nightmare and they dont seem to bring much unless you got really old ones, does anyone know of a site that you can find out that isnt as time consuming as ebay, any help would be appreciated

I used to work for a baseball card shop here in town. We used a book called "Beckett". I don't know if they have a website or not, but I'm pretty sure you could used to buy these in regular stores. It would still take time to look them all up, but they had newer cards listed, as well as the real old ones. Hope this helps.

I always preferred looking up my cards in Beckett. After finding the value there, you can then go to Ebay and see what they are selling and if they have any of the cards that you are selling. When using ebay use the players name in the search box to make it easier to find. I usually then make sure the auction list is set at "ending soonest" that way I can see what is actually selling and for how much. Auctions that have days left aren't very good indicators because people like to wait until the last minute to buy.

You can also go to advanced searched (right under the regular search at the top of the page) and check the box to see "completed listings only."
This way, you can see what the auctions close for.
