Re: My pet peeve.........what's yours?
I work in retail also. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people lay the money on the counter for me to pick up. I can't stand it! I always put the money in the person's hand when I pay for things and I expect the same. Just a respect thing for me I guess. I also hate it when people drop clothing on the floor and look at me and say oh she'll get it or the good ol line it's job security for her. GEESH! Yeah, I love picking up after you! But my #1 pet peeve is at home when I am doing dishes and my husband comes up behind me and puts his cigarette out when I am doing the dishes! It irks me to NO END! I think he know this too as he has been doing it for 16 frickin years! No matter how much I get him with water or the dish towel he still does it!

Mine is when someone cuts in front of you in a line when they see you standing there.
And the other that just happened this week.... I was out shopping for baby stuff and this guy walks in front of me, farts really loud, then looks at me and says "How rude". Boy did my ex throw a fit when he did that, and it was a smelly one too! ewww

Just curious, why is this rude. As long as they pay enough attention to hand you money I don't see the problem. Now if they are holding up the line because they are screwing around then thats a problem.
I think it's rude because you are providing them with a service. They should have the courtesy to acknowledge you, not blab on the phone with who ever. It isn't that important that it can't wait 2 seconds until they get out of line.

Re: My pet peeve.........what's yours?
My name is Shirley. I always ask people to call me Shirl. Never really cared for the name Shirley. Yet some people still call me Shirley. Some think I'm saying Cheryl which is okay but how many times do you have to tell someone to call you Shirl not Shirley??? Petty pet peeve I know
