Sometimes we have to be reminded...

Sometimes we have to be reminded about the little blessings in our life.

My husband just shared with me a story about a co-worker named Susan.

Susan lives with her mother who is elderly. Apparently the mother had been developing cataracts and hadn't said how bad things had gotten. Because money is tight, there had been no trips to an optometrist or opthamologist in a long time.

Anyway, it turned out that the mother was practically blind by the time she saw a doctor. She was seeing shadows only.

This past Tuesday she had cataract surgery on one eye (she will have surgery on the other eye next week.)

Well, on Wednesday Susan heard banging and crashing downstairs and came down to find her mother scrubbing the kitchen and singing out loud. The mother was thrilled to see the kitchen and just wanted to clean it "really good". To her, being able to see to clean was a blessing in itself!!!

    Makes you think, doesn't it???
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.
