Is BBS safe again?

Lots of people have left here cause they are afraid of the viruses and trogans they picked up. Is anyone still getting them or has it been cleaned up? Maybe we can get the word out that it is safe to come back. I miss the old days when everyone was on here and we all had updates on people.

Now everyone is so scattered we need to go to five different sites to find them. And I notice some other sites are having problems with viruses and trogans themselves.

I know I can come here and I get no warnings but at another site my anti-spy warning pops up all the time.

There are no guarantees anywhere for anything that anything is safe.........Precautions in anything you do will aleviate problems down the road.

Has anyone picked up anything on BBS lately that is affecting their computer? Just interested if there is still problems on here.

I have never gotten anything from here.. on any of my computers. One of them does not have any protection and I have never gotten anything from any forum site that I have been on.

Most the crap that people get come from spyware or adware that they already have on their computer and when they go to a site that has a specific type of ad on it, you will get warnings, but it doesn't come from the site itself, it comes from crap already on your computer reacting with online stuff.

I got infected last summer with viruss' from the board, then it was down for-ever. Now I seem to have no problems.

I've never had any problems in all the years I have been here. But my computer is fully protected with my firewall and three different programs. Nothing gets through.

I never had problems either but some are afraid to come back. Now I go to a new site where lots of them went and my pop-up intrusiion goes wild. Warning me.

So I am having trouble there and so are others. I never had trouble here but others have. Just confusing.

I guess if we all keep out anti-spyware up to date we don't need to worry.

Just checking on what others have experienced.

I have never picked up anything from here either and I used to "run" without anytype of virus protection. I have come to this site for years now with no problem. Now, my new computer is protected to the max...don't want it crashing before I get it paid for, lol. Once it picked up something as an "attack", but the only thing that was, was one of the ads that was trying to load on the page and I have a pop up blocker so that is what caused the problem.

If people are afraid of picking up stuff off the internet....because the crap is out there everywhere....they need to protect their computer. You can open an email with html and the picture itself can be a virus without clicking on it or any attachments.
