Prayers and more are needed for this poor cat...I hope I won't be in trouble posting this here but thought she could use all the help that she can get...I might be able to work out something with paypal and them if you would rather...

Princess Gigi - Special Fund

This is a special request to all the volunteers and anyone else to whom you would like to send this note..

Princess Gigi is one of Second Chance's very special kitties. She is not even a year old, but since she was 2 months old she has undergone and endured more than you can imagine. And all through this poking, prodding, pills, ears flushing, ear drops, and medical procedures she has remained the sweetest cat - that still just wants to be held and petted.


Last June - Princess Gigi started itching. Not just a little itch - an itch that she scratch until her neck was raw – and now her neck is permanently scarred. In addition to the skin problem, she developed severe (and I mean unbelievably severe) itching in her ears. Since last June Second Chance has been working with multiple vets, allergy specialists, and the vet school, to try to determine the root cause of her problem. As her current foster mom, I know that she has gone through multiple daily pills, daily ear flushings, ear drops, special food, isolation to avoid environmental effects, and several procedures for which she has been sedated. Just recently she spent a few days in the vet school hospital and they did a CT scan which showed that her right ear is totally blocked (may be polyp, may be just inflamed tissue) and the left ear is almost as bad.

Her bills have mounted up and this note is to initiate a Special Fund for her medical bills. The money will be used to help defray bills which so far have amounted to several thousand dollars and which will continue to grow.

If you are able to make a donation of any size to the Princess Gigi Special Fund - I know she would appreciate your kindness. There will be a jar at the facility with Princess Gigi’s name on it, or you can send a check to me Payable to Second Chance Pet Adoptions - please indicate in the memo field that it is for the Princess.
