Does anyone participat in the acnielsen home scan

I was on a waiting list for almost a year if not longer. Got my pkg about 2 months ago. was just wondering what other people think. Likes / Dislikes

I've been doing it for several years. I don't scan everything I purchase. It takes up alot of time. I like it and have earned a lot of points to get some nice prizes.

do You take the scanner with you to the store? I find it easier then doing after I get home.

I have been on the wait list for almost 2 years... we used to participate years ago, well really it was my mom that did it and we always scanned everything as we took them out of the bag before putting them away.

Yes, I have participated in the ac nielsen home scan for about 6 months now. I like it, but it does take a while to scan before putting the groceries away. It is easier if you don't have to put in the prices of each item.

Thats why I take mine to the store with me. As I put an item in the cart I scan it.

Holly, go to www.homescan.com and sign up to be on the waiting list. When you get picked (everyone has an equal chance since it's completely random), they send you a handheld scanner which you use to scan all of your purchases (grocery, clothing, etc--ANYTHING with a barcode). Then, once a week you upload your purchases to their website using the provided USB cord. It's really simple. You get points for uploading once per week, points for being consistent (uploading 4 consecutive weeks), and points for surveys. You can then use the points to get some nice prizes. The longer you're a member, the more points you can earn! I hope I explained it okay!

I've been on their waiting list for a long time but I got a call from them about a week ago but I wasn't home. They left a message asking if I was still interested in participating in the home scan program and left an 800# for me to call them back. No one was in the office so I just left a message stating that I was still interested and left my name, address and everything else. I haven't heard back from them or gotten the scanner yet but hopefully it will get here soon.
