Thread: Homeopathic remedies for ear infections?

6 months of a ton of antibiotics have not cleared up dd's ear infections. Anyone know of any other moderately safe remedies? TY, Joy

Took her to *two* separate ENT doctors. They both recommend tubes. They should have been put in 5/24/05. Her father, who does not even live in this state, but still technically has rights to her, called up the doctor, and loudly objected to them. *roll eyes* I rescheduled the procedure for 6/8. In the meantime, I may be in for a very long, tough, fight with him. (He is in Houston, TX somewheres, but we don't know what hotel he is in. I have an idea who he is employed with, because he supposedly should be paying support making $275 a day as a landman, but he keeps moving around.) So in case he succeeds in blocking me again, I want to try something so dd's suffering (and it is great suffering, she has been hospitalized *a lot* lately) *stops* or lessens. Thank you for taking the time to care and read this post. Also thank you for several RAOKS from BBSers in time of need. You know who you are. Got lots of hugs, prayers, referrals, help with pull-ups from Catdance (spent my money from trades on dd's medicine, low income to begin with), etc. And I am very, very grateful. One person here has spent a very long time the past three months listening to me whine a lot, and she has a rough patch in her life herself, four kids, and God bless her for that. my heart goes out to you. the two oldest of my boys got a ear infection with every tooth they got. oldest son took antibo and cleared his up all the time. middle son was awful all we got done was give antibo, finally they sugested tubes, we done them and YES he still got ear infections with the tubes. no it wasn't because he got them wet it was because of a runny nose. if you let his nose run it would turn into ear infection. something bout his drain tubes were to small. anyway tubes out, with drs help, never fell out like they thought. dr removed them. now baby has had few ear infections but he fights me so bad on meds that dr gave him shots last time and they cleared up good. anyway my main thing is before you go with the tubes.........ask lots of questions. there is a certain amount of hearing loss with tubes. the dr neglected to tell us that till after the surgury. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr was agraviating. but on the up side before ds got his tubes we didn't realize how much he was missing out on. he was under 2yrs old. but on the way home from hospital having the surgury, when we got to the holler, I got him out of his car seat and put him on my lap. it started to rain and omg you should have seen the look on his face.......he had never heard rain before. i didn't know what to say, was upset at myself for not noticing it before. but was so tickled that he could hear. that has been several years now. he is doing good. he has to go for a hearing test sometime in june just to check on how he is doing. sorry didnt mean to take your thread, just want you to know been there done that and want to make sure you ask questions, i did but not the right ones. good luck and hope all is well.

I feel so sorry for your little ones that have ear infections. I use to have them and they hurt just as bad if not worse than a tooth ache. I can remember so many times crying all night long with my head in my momma's lap and her rubbing my hair. As I got older I finally realized if I would keep my ears covered really well during cold weather or windy days they wouldn't hurt anymore. I've not had another ear infection since I was in my teens. But I can feel them coming on sometimes and will go cover my ears with something and it will go away.

My father still had them until he was in his 50's and they put tubes in his ears and they stopped.
OP you should call your ex and tell him to take a nail and jab it in his ears over and over again as hard as he can so he can see how his little girls ears are feeling right now.
