Lookie what I did today :D
We had a poker run for a good friend of ours who has cancer. Raised a TON of money!
I think the last count was 163 bike checked in.
Everyone had such a good time and I took a million pics!

I do know they raised $1200 on 50/50 tickets - the ticket winner gave the money back (It was a great day!) I know they raised about $1000 in auctions and there was so much money from straight donations thay they had a pile about 2ft high and counting LOL
I don't have any pics of us.... I always seem to be the one behind the camera LOL

Thats great I know first hand how hard it is to try and raise money. My brother passed from cancer and they didn't have insurance. Sounds like you did a great job.

Just to clarify "I" didn't actually raise the money LOL... we participated and DH'd band played for free to the poker runners
We donated a lot and advertised, but when I said "we had a poker run" I didn't mean just me and DH.. took a lot of people to pull this off... I complain about Oklahoma a lot but one thing that we okies know is that we can always count on each other
I thinK the best part of it all is the 50/50 winner had bought $100 worth of tickets and won and gave her prize money back to the family... just one of those days that makes ya feel good for a long time
