I'm Going to Be a Grandma!

Just thought I would share this with ya'll. My DD is going to have a baby in August. She is so excited, and I am too, although I wish she would have finished college first. I'm hoping for a redheaded baby, I am a redhead but both my kids ended up with dark hair. Her/His Daddy is a redhead too so I think it's a distinct possibility.

Congratulations you can now spoil it and send it home. I am going to be grandma again for the 6th and 7th time. One is due in march the other in april. So now is the time to start buying all those little goodies i just love that part of course my dh dont.

You must be estatic I was each of the 7 times And by the way I always wanted red hair. My grandfather had red hair but he died before I was born. Are you going to be a Nana, Granny, Meemaw, Grama ???

I'm a Nana since that's what my grama and great gramas were called. They were all Nana. They even have greeting cards now for Nana. I agree with you that grandma, granny, sounds old to me. I was 41 when I became Nana and I wouldn't trade it for the world Being a young Nana we were lucky enough to have a 5 generation family photo done

i am nana to they even have t-shirts that says someone special calls me NaNa i got one for xmas. They have lots of stuff now with NaNa on it. I thought the same thing i was NaNa for the 1st time at 40 so i never wanted to be grandma my 7yr old now calls me once in awhile grandma and it sound funny.
