Thread: Could someone please answer this question?

My mother called me a bit ago, and was asking me what the top of the brain was used for?

I don't recall myself and thought maybe one of you would remember without me having to go look it up.

The top of the brain is called the cerebrum. It uses information from our senses to tell us what is going on around us and tells our body how to respond. It controls reading, thinking, learning, speech, and emotions.

Thank you, ever since they found that tumor on my mom's brain she is all the time calling me asking me to look up things like this. The sad part is she has been through nursing school and can't remember something like that. I guess I should just be proud that she is still able to function right most of the time.
