Any one take Lipitor?
Looks like I can't avoid going on it any longer. Just wondering if it helped you and what if any side effects it has had. Thanks, Donna

Re: Any one take Lipitor?
Another person with the same name as me.
My mother takes it. She has blood work done once in a while just to make sure it isn't harming her kidneys. I guess that is one of the side affects.

Re: Any one take Lipitor?
I take Lipitor, just started. So far it hasn't given me any problems at all. I have to go have bloodwork done next Wednesday to see if it's helping and to make sure that my liver is okay.
A word of advice though. If you have muscle aches while taking Lipitor, stop taking it at once and call your doctor. I have only heard of two people having this problem so it must not be real common.

Re: Any one take Lipitor?
I've been on it for three months. So far, so good. But really, if you get the muscle aches, get to the doctor right away. It's a bad sign. Good luck!

Re: Any one take Lipitor?
I used to take it, but I was runnin' to the toilet every 10 minutes, so they changed me to Zocor, works much better for me.

Re: Any one take Lipitor?
I have been taking it for a few months now. When I first started I had bad muscle aches especially in my back but they eventually went away. Doctor said it is just one of the side effects. I recently went to a half dose due to losing weight and watching what I was eating (also a diabetic). Lipitor really does work great at getting the numbers down, so good luck if you have to start taking it. Also, you will have to have blood tests done to keep a check on your liver, so far so good for me. HTH!

God I turn 40 in Nov. and I feel like Im going to pot, first reading glasses now this, oh well better than a heart attack huh....
Also does anyone know if I can still drink while on the lipitor? I like a glass of wine here and there. Going to ask the pharmacy when I fill it but thought I would ask here too.

Re: Any one take Lipitor?
I have been on it for over a year and haven't had any problems. Considering how sensitive I am to meds it's amazing that I didn't have every side effect listed.
