    Have you heard of Prizewise?

I got an email from them to join. I went ahead and joined. It looks really cool. But you never know about these new sites. Well to be honest I don't know how long this place has been around.

Aparently you buy tickets to enter sweepstakes to win prizes. For instance someone has Avon Anew Clinical 2-step facial peel up. There are 44 tickets originaly up for sale. Four tickets have been bought so there are 40 left. The sweepstakes ends tomorrow. So one of those 4 people will win it.

I browsed around the site and some auctions have had hundreds of tickets sold. Some sweepstakes go on for months.

I'm wondering if anyone else has used this site. Or take a look and lmk what you think.

    TIA
    Stephanie

This is the first I've heard of it, but I just went to their website, and it's such an awesome concept! Very cool. A sweeper such as myself could spend a mint on their raffle style tickets. $1 a piece and you could win just about anything!
Something I did notice, however, is that if they don't sell the required amount of tickets, that item is discontinued. So if they only sold 4 of 44 tickets, those four people will get their tickets back. They will not still have a chance to win the item.

If the mailman knew that my heart races when the UPS man comes by, would he still bring me freebies?

I looked at the site. I believe they said if the amount of tickets do not reach the amount asked for the sweepstake is void and the tickets will be returned to bidder.
So if the tickeds for the Avon does not reach 44 then there is no winner.
Seems like you could pay a lot of money and not win anything. you have to buy coupons in groups of 15 at $1 ea. Just seems to me that i'd rather use my money to buy and item than use my money to try to win an item. JMO

That sounds more like a raffle to me.

Yeah, you're right. They call is sweepstakes but it is actually a raffle.

One of the links you can click on will show the finished raffles and will tell you how many tickets the winner entered into it. I saw some people win with just one ticket and some win with 100. Some of the prizes are cool like $500.00 gift certificates to Walmart & other places. One person won a $100.00 Old Navy gift cert. for just 1 ticket!

I don't know if it is ok to post this here in this forum or not but I posted the link to this site in the Oooh! Sign up under me! forum. If someone says you refered them then you get 5 free tickets.

Yeah, I just read that also. If the raffle does not happen because not enough tickets were sold then everyone who entered will get their tickets back.

I would run with my tail between my legs if I had to pay for a sweepstakes. That usually spells SPAM or HOAX. Just be very careful everyone.

Re: Have you heard of Prizewise?

I just posted 4 items on the site to "raffle" off. They each have to be approved so I'm waiting on that. I'll tell you guys how it goes. The minimum time a raffle lasts is 30 days so it will be a while before I get any money (assuming all of my tickets sell---cross your fingers!).

I was browsing the site and there are actually houses up for raffle, and rare cars, gold, a huge variety. I like this site more each time I go there.
