Would paypal email us and ask.....?

My dh and I have an address we use for ebay. Apparently (or it is a fake) we got an email from "paypal" asking us to verify information. (fill in a form with info on name, address, and bank info..). I told him not to. He went to the site and signed in and then updated his information. Do you think this email was legit or a scam? The email looked legit but they said to avoid fraud we had to update or our account would be frozen..blah, blah...

Someone could be pretending to be from Paypal. Did anyone else ever get this?

I was going to post the actual email but I think he deleted it.

We got one similar to that a while back so I emailed it to paypal and they emailed back saying it was a scam! I am glad you did not answer it!!!! If you can retrieve it from your trash you may want to forward it to paypal so they can investigate it. They will never email you asking for personal information!

paypal would NEVER send an email like that . delete it or report it

I got the same one, it is a scam. You should got to ebay or paypal, whichever it is, and change your password NOW!

Again, you need to go directly to ebay or paypal, whichever one he updated his information at and change your password. He clicked on a link in his email, it appeared to him that he was on a legit page, when in fact he was redirected somewhere else.

it is a scam, I got the same email and I don't have a paypal account or an ebay account. report it!

scam...sounds like phishing..... (is that the term lol)
we use paypal.. or should i say dh does lol...
