Being a child in the south it was always mama. I have lived in PA for about 21 years now and my kids called me mom. My daughter did start calling me mommy for a while but now it is usually mom. Sometimes though she will still call me mommy and she is almost 22 year old.

Being originally from the north, I called mine Mom. But here in the south it seems Mama is the preference.
Well it's just Mom here also, But I'm a northerner and i think it has to do where your from. If i had to spell it out i would say Momma.
