    Anyone in AZ?

My hubby and I are thinking about movong to AZ, around the Pheonix area, and I was wondering if there is much need for daycare around that area, and what the going rate is around there. I was also wondering what you really pay for cooling your house on average - the person I asked said she pays $200/month on a level pay program! Any help would be very appreciated. TIA!

    Re: Anyone in AZ?

I live in Illinois but I am in Phoenix on vacation. It is really nice here. My best friend pays about 130 a week for day care for her 2 year old. Her electric for a 2 bedroom is about 70 a month. She doesn't run her AC very much. I really like the apt complex she lives in.

    Re: Anyone in AZ?

I'm in Phoenix. I don't know about the childcare out here. But it's a huge city with a lot of working people, so I'd say there'd be a good call for childcare in the area.

    As for cooling...

Our house heats & cools with an electric heat pump. It's about 1900sf, and throughout the year our monthly electric bill has been anywhere from $40.00 to $110.00. For the area, that's really good. Then again, we keep the heat under 70 degrees in the winter and the A/C over 84 degrees in the summer, so that helps. I know other people in PHX who have had $200+ summer A/C bills... especially if they have pool pumps going too. We have a electric plan that gives us a discount when we run our electricity during off peak hours (we try to avoid workdays 9am-9pm)

Any other AZ questions let me know!
