Please help, I need a good popup stopper & banner killer. I had seen...
a post on here a good while back where they were talking about popup stoppers and a few people on here were discussing one that they used that also kills the banner ads. For the life of me I can't locate that thread.
I don't remember there handles, but I do recall one of them was ahippychick's husband. I just don't remember what his handle is.
Can someone help me out please.
I want a popup stopper that will stop all the banners on here as well as the popups. My internet connection is threw a proxy set up by Direcway and it is causing me all sorts of DNS problems.
Please helpNEW ! => ISO LIST! please L@@K and see if you have something I need.

I use the google tool bar which has a pop up blocker. It doesn't block the banners though. I think the person you're looking for is Mr. Unsocial.

Thanks Patcholi for giving me his handle
I just found where he was talking about that, but sadly it's a Norton's product and I'm running McAfees on my computer so I bet I can't install Norton's without some type of conflict.
I don't see the new ads either. The threads and posts are narrower, but I only see "Our Sponsor" then nothing but blue underneath that. But I don't see any of the ads, top, bottom or sides, because I run Norton's Internet Security and it has a built-in ad blocker. You can turn it off and on.
Bohemut, if your friend has Norton's Internet Security also, and still gets the ads, tell her to double-click on Norton's little globe in the systray, to open it up. When the little box pops up, click where it says "ad blocker" towards the bottom. That will give her the option to turn it on.
Or does anyone know of another one that will actually work on here?
