    Exclamation need help: where can i find an old newspaper article?

    I need you nice girlies to help me find on-line a place where i can download a newspaper article from december 15, 1954 either from detroit or new york. Im looking for something dealing w/ the stanley world cup, where the red wings won. i found a site, but i was going to have to pay a $100 dollar membership fee to acsess it! Any help will be super appreciated! or if anyone has the actual artilce, i will pay you for it!

    A $100 bucks?! Forget that!!! Have you tried to go to your local library? They may have it there.. I actually was looking for an old article myself.. If I find anyhitng I'll post it here for ya!

    Ok, found a web site and it is newslibrary.com
    Not sure if it will help or not. I can't find my article I am looking for either..lol

    I am not sure what the cost would be, but you might try contacting the Detroit Free Press or the Detroit News and seeing if you could get a back isue from them.

    i'm searching for you, i found a place that would give them to you for 1.00 each but they only go back as far as early 80's. i'll keep looking.

    contact your local library (main branch) - the research department. Tell them what you are looking for and they should be able to tell you if they have it or not. If they do, it will cost like $1/page. If they dont, ask them if they can search other libraries for you to get the article you are looking for.
