Talking Do your kid(s)have a fav."lovey"that's b/c part of your family?

This sounds so crazy, but my DD has a stuffed animal puppet - a pig- named "piggy" that has become part of our family! Does anyone else have such "lovies?"

Piggy's so cute & enduring! He goes everywhere with us, restaurants, vacation, etc. DD sleeps with Piggy, wakes up & plays with Piggy & takes him in the car. Even my son has taken a liking to Piggy. DS entertains his sis with Piggy as a puppet & uses a "Piggy" voice! LOL. Piggy gets dressed in baby booties, taken for wagon rides, in strollers, etc. Frankly, i can't imgaine life without Piggy. When we can't locate him in the house, we all go thru calling "here piggy, piggy, piggy" LOL. When i called my DH at the store to pk.up an extra item, he answered & said, "is this a Piggy emergency?" (He had forgotten to bring Piggy in from his car before leaving for the store). You get the idea.

We have lost Piggy a # of times & made phone calls to find him. Recently we couldn't find him & had to use another animal for bedtime. We knew he made it home from our activities, but couldn't find him. I literally prayed & asked the Lord to bring him back to us! The next day DD went to a friend's house & there in the yard was Piggy. DD had a "Piggy" hugging, squeeling, jumping reunion right in their front yard. Turns out Piggy's fur was a bit matted, but amazingly unharmed by the Choc.Lab that kidnapped him & dropped him in his yard.(I sure am glad the Lord cares about little things).

Are there any others who have will admit to such craziness over your kid(s) lovies??

    Yes...I will admit it.

My 3 year old has "Fred" a blue bunny. He has been repaired multiple times over the years. He now sports one fuzzy white ear (compliments of Dr. Mom) He was also the victim of a dog bite, but I managed to save him. My son treats him as though he is his son. HE LOVES FRED. I've got to admit, I sort of love Fred too.

    My daughter

had a blanket named Bob. Bob was great. Well, until he started to unravel. Poor Bob was sewn together so many times, he was more thread than blanket by the end.

My DD has a stuffed cat that name is BOOP BOOP. It was a gorgeous thing once, nice long fur, just like a real one, but then dumb me put it in the dryer after washing it. Now poor BOOP BOOP is hairless and matty. But it didnt matter my DD still loves that thing. She also has one certain baby named Picklefrein (donno where she got these names LOL) that doll hardly ever stays home. SHe loves that thing. We had to buy her it when she was 16 months old because my step mom (the witch) would not let her keep the little baby from her house, so we went to Kmart and bought the bigger one for DD and ever since it has been a best buddy!!

Yep, DD is 14 and she has a spotted puppy that she got when she was like 3. It looks like it's been through the wars and back-but it's what she has to have everywhere she goes.

When she was small, she had "Hobie", it was a cute 1.99 Holly Hobbie doll. One time we were in the mall and she starting screaming that Hobie was dying!! )She left it in the car), oh man, the looks that we got as we had to back out into the parking lot and get her!
I still have Hobie, she is packed away with other of DD's mementos.

Not a kid, but, does it count that hubby(we have been together 10 years) took possession of a pillow I had as a girl and cant sleep without it? (this pillow is at least 25 years old, and has been sewn back together many times, I finally had to put it in a pillow case and sew the end of the case to keep it in tact) We can not find another one like it(believe me I have tried) and he gets very upset if he can't find it. (it goes with him when he has to go out of town too) LOL, sometimes I kid him that is the only reason he stays with me, is cause he is afraid I will take my pillow back.

my daughter has a little pink babydoll that DH bought her when she was about 1 yr old (she will be 3 in a few weeks), and its called "smelly baby". it smells like strawberries and came in a little strawberry pod. it has smelled like that for 2 years, despite many washings. anyway, i asked her about a year ago what her babys name was and she said smelly baby. its been that way every since. we have been lucky that we havent lost it but she rarely lets it go, sleeps with it, eats with it, she even sits in on the window sill when she goes to the potty! when she finally outgrows smelly baby i am going to put it in her keepsake box.

my son (8 months) just has a favorite pacifier. one of those Gerber bulb ones. its the only one he wants, if i offer him another one he spits in out and screams till i give him the right one. oh, and he HAS to sleep with a stuffed buffalo that DH won him from one of those toy machines with the claw.
