Yes, my child has CP..although he is very low-tone. It is called hypotonia. This is just one of the many problems he has. He also suffers from seizures. He is non-verbal, and basically cannot do anything for himself. He is a very loving child, and is my heart...maybe I can give you some advice? He is 11 now...it's a hard thing to deal with I know.

ty everyone, not that my other three girls arnt my life but he is my miracle baby , I wasnt supposed to ever get preggy agian after the chimo and i did and finally with a boy, I love him so much it breaks my heart not knowing what to do, or try to help. the doc said he needs a boppy pillow to help with sitting up, he may have troubles walking because the legs will build too much muscle tone too fast, so movement will be hard or not as flexable as a reg. child his age.

any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

the doc was so vauge it made me mad, and quick and then left....

and they are the only doc group around this rinky dinky area

Huggles, and God Bless everyone who si emailing me You are all the BEST!

My 3 year old has cp. It was truly devastating to hear. We are very lucky as his is a mild case ,but it still affects every part of his life. His speech is delayed and he needs AFO's to help support his ankles,he wears glasses and a helmut to protect his head because he falls. I think maybe we should start our own online support group. Where we are there is little or no support system.

My son is schedulded to have surgery in the next few weeks becasue of his muscle tone--his hips are coming in and out of his sockets, this is common with kids who have low muscle tone..they are dislocating. I have heard though for kids with high tone (rigidity) they can give them botox injections and this decreases the tone.
