    Born Rich?

Has anyone seen these poor little rich kids talk about their hard lives in this special on HBO? I mean, it's got to be hard when mom cuts off your credit cards because you are buying too much junk and you feel like you should feel guilty when you spend $600 on a purse but you just had to have it but you could have given the money to the poor.

I about puked listening to these kids whine about how tough it is to be so rich that you don't have to work or have any sort of a career and you can spend you days drinking $250 bottles of champagne with your friends. And having to work takes away from time you could be spending with your friends partying. GAG ME!!!!
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

I think Oprah had one of the heirs on her show and he talked about the documentary that he was making. I think he's an heir to the Johnson and Johnson fortune. Although I'm sure they never wanted for anything materialistic there must be the whole psychological side that goes along with being that rich. These kids have never known anything else.

I haven't seen it, but I saw a show called "Rich Girls" on MTV once. I'll never watch it again. It was a reality type show with Whatshername Hilfiger and her friend Whatshername NotFamous. The show I watched was about their prom. They live in NYC and they went shopping and got just about everything BUT their prom dresses. They finally got them and were getting ready & everything. Whatshername NotFamous wanted to lose her virginity (both 18) on prom night but her date (actually a pretty cool guy) got sick and went home. She had a crush on their friend, who she said was just like Sebastion from Cruel Intentions (only much more immature and whiney). Miss NotFamous was mad b/c Miss Hilfiger always had to pay for the limo (which they rode everywhere) and it was like $700 a day. She said that for prom, everyone should pay $100. Miss Hilfiger said she didn't mind paying.

Then they showed previews for the next show and Mr. Whiney was crying b/c the girls were PO'ed that he let his friend use their limo which they had paid for b/c "it was just sitting there." So they make him ride the buss and he's crying, saying he doesn't want to ride the bus "with all those idiots."

It was just sad to see someone his age not able to handle any sort of problem at all b/c he's been so pampered and spoiled ROTTEN for 18 years. He was crying like a baby.

I find both shows sad, not because they are rich, but that in 2003 people can be so out of reality....Especially on the HBO special, those kid were saying they would never date outside their circle, etc. How boring it must be to only bond with people who are exactly like you...I would probably be so bored I would be suicidal.

It's amazing to me that there are kids with no food or clothes or no Christmas presents on this earth and then there are people like that. One day of her limo would clothe a child for a year or more! Maybe they do make charitable contributions...but what a ironic world this is.

oh how I wish I had their problems, it would just be so nice to have to worry only about what outfit to wear to go out and go shopping in instead of worring about what bill to pay this month and make sure my kids have enough to eat and warm clothes.

    They have it so bad.

Paris Hilton $1000 dollar cell phone, $300.000 car does not know the value of a dollar...

When asked about Wal-Mart she replies "Is that a place where they sell walls?"
