more computer help needed

OK, I got a "new" computer from a friend because mine died and he had an extra. He wiped everything out for us and we rebooted everything. Now I am trying to put everthing back in that I had before. There are some differences though. Mine had Windows98 and his has Window98SE. I downloaded Window Media Player(9, i think) and it is different than the version I had before. I love the visualizations that show in the Now Playing screen while you are listening to music. However, on this version, they do not work on all internet radio stations like the other one. Sometimes the station's website shows instead. When the site is showing I cannot find anything under the 'view' tab about visualization, only when the visualization shows is it there. Is this the way this one works or is there something I can change to make the visualizations work with every station?
